My love for design began as a young child and was fostered by my parents, a civil engineer and a carpenter. While traveling the world competing in tennis at age 9, I learned to escape from my high expectations childhood into the world of art and imagination. By the age of 14 I was able to draft my first design; my childhood bedroom.
Years later, an opportunity led me to study computer engineering for several years, but in the end, life steered me back to my true destiny. I left my home country to pursue my interior architecture passion at San Diego State University, where I received a full athletic scholarship in tennis.
The love for art and design grew stronger and allowed me to express my nurtured strength of creativity and problem solving. Throughout the years, I have gained first-hand knowledge in various materials such as metal work, furniture making, and tile and stone design. This allowed me to apply my knowledge while designing for my clients and truly understand material implications.
For over a decade, I have established a specialized knowledge in the design industry while working for top design firms, custom drapery and tile and stone showrooms. This led me to have a special professional connection with a vast variety of vendors and create seamless operations for my clients at Milana Designs.
Regardless of the project, my goal is to create a space that is both functional and unique to each individual-the-one-of-a-kind-oasis.
